Teacher´s digital competence: challenge in the pedagogical practice of the XXI century

Abstract

The technological revolution in the educational context is transforming the pedagogical work of teachers, leading it to a deep reflection about their training in digital skills to respond to current challenges and, especially, to the needs of students. The objective of this article is to analyze the contributions of recent publications, identifying the digital competences that teachers require to incorporate ICT (Information and Communications Technology) efficiently into pedagogical practice. To do this, a review of the literature available on the web was carried out to prepare an analysis, firstly, about the training of teachers in technology; then, it is made known about the teaching-learning process in virtual environments and finally, it is shown a theoretical making an examination of three current frameworks on digital skills for teachers. Likewise, the relevance in making know how these technologies should be applied in the classroom.
