Critical Thinking: A look at the children of Latin America and the Caribbean

Abstract
The research aims to carry out an analysis of critical thinking from a perspective of Latin America and the Caribbean. The type of research is exploratory. For the present research work, the repositories in different universities, academic Google, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, CIID Journal, among others, were used as a database. 57 documents were found, of which 29 were selected to carry out the work. The five IMRD criteria were considered, year of seniority, country, sector, variables; Regarding language, Spanish and English were preferred. Likewise, the inclusion criteria include research with a publication date that ranges from 2017 to 2021; They are in Spanish and English; contain the variables; have the IMRD methodology. It was concluded that the formation of critical thinking in students generates competencies and abilities that allow them to respond to the challenges demanded by today's life. It is one of the main challenges facing the education system.
