Teaching digital skills in times of a Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has directly impacted the educational systems of all countries worldwide, having digital skills as tools to face the challenges of the current times that we are living in an unexpected virtual education, which leads to the use efficient use of teacher technology. Thus, this article aims to carry out a theoretical analysis and review of digital teaching skills, where teacher training in digital skills, innovation of digital skills, ICT in the teaching-learning process in teachers have been developed, the article is qualitative approach, which can be part of the pillars of a new competence or knowledge, based on scientific and review articles, in a number of 64 articles obtained from high impact sources. It is concluded that teachers have to be leaders in digital skills in education, conducting continuous training to improve teaching practice, promoting the development of innovative strategies in the teaching-learning process in this new challenge of virtual education, having to use the ICT and thus achieve technological skills, thus demonstrating being digitally competent.
