The Interculturality in pedagogy in public universities in Mexico, a regional perspective

Abstract




The purpose of higher education has been oriented to meet the needs of comprehensive and labor education required by the global socioeconomic system; At the same time, the current educational problem is to offer greater coverage and inclusion to the actors that make up scenarios of cultural diversity, economic ideology, gender, religion, phenotype, identity, etc. establishing opportunities and possibilities to train professionally.
In the education of the pedagogue it is relevant to establish if the curricula and the educational scenarios are working through an intercultural approach and look that strengthens the learning of the interculturality as a practice of empowerment of the diversities; ?rough the subjects, the formative axes, and the curricular standards with the teaching contents and methodologies that are being landed in the institutions of higher education, with the practices of the teachers in the different classrooms with different or similar training processes of the pedagogue in Mexico.
As a concept, interculturality is understood as the dynamics of exchange, empowerment, decolonization, dialogue, and cultural construction, among the actors, based on the practices and social relationships in the different contexts, as a cross-sectional basis of knowledge generation, for the constitution of an inclusive society.
