Didactic strategy to improve reading comprehension

Abstract
The objective of this research was to strengthen reading comprehension through a didactic strategy in the seventh grade students of the IE San Juan Bautista de Caimito Sucre, with the purpose of providing the required knowledge to develop the research skills in the Master's degree in education. A field diary was made and then an interview was conducted with the authorization and consent of the students' parents. According to the results obtained, a didactic strategy for reading comprehension was built, which allowed the students to adapt to new learning styles, appropriating several didactic means, which made the learning process in text comprehension easier. Finally, the activities implemented, determined a change in the learning of the students, showing creativity and imagination, contributing positively to a better reading comprehension.
